Im so used to getting bday invites where the parents drive the kids to the venue.... Im kind of bothered by having to drive today.  The place is 15 miles away (that takes 2 freeways) during rush hour for a TWO HOUR party?!  Im certainly not staying there (one of those indoor trampoline places) so now I have to make the trip twice?  Heck there were ONLY 6 kids that rsvp'd, that includes mine.  Why cant the parents drive them there????

btw these are 7th graders.... they dont need or want us to stay.

oh.... and I did try to find a carpool, but the invite was an evite and I didnt recognize any of the emails and no names were attached.

Can you take a book and find a coffee shop nearby to relax and read while your child is at the party?  Turn it into some "me time."

Yeah this is what I'd do.

Maybe their car doesn't fit 7 kids. Mine doesn't.

If it were a party important to my child, I'd do it. I did do one (middle of the week party at 6pm) last year for my preschooler. He a blast, I obviously stayed though since he was 3.

Call and politely ask the parent if he can ride over with them.

I think you're spoiled. Who has that many seats? 6 kids, the guest of honor and one parent minimum. That's a minimum of 8 seats. Most people have a 5 seater.
