Let's say your child got this as a birthday gift from her grandmother. She just turned 7 and cried when she opened it. It's body wash, shampoo, deodorant, comb and lip balm. Would your child be okay with this as a gift? How would you feel?

No my child wouldn't be ok with that as a gift. neither would I.
seriously this is as bad as my gma getting me underwear one year for Christmas. Let me add that my child would say thank you. I wouldn't say anything and neither would my child.
but for a seven year old that's not really what you expect for a gift

Yes they would be. They honestly would appreciate it but all of my kids like that kind of stuff.

My children are taught to be grateful. Would they be thrilled? Probably not, but they wouldn't cry. Sorry but that sounds spoiled. :-/

I was raised to be happy and thankful for any gift, no matter what it was. If My dd was rude she would have been punished. People do not have to give you gifts, So be happy with what you get. I would love something like that. Was it tears of joy or dissapointment?

My kids would love it, but then they aren't selfish, ungrateful, entitled brats.
