Church?

I am looking for a word that would describe something like going to church, but for a non-specific religion. Church isn't the word I want to use, not the noun but as a descriptor.

There are meetings, but I am looking for a word that better fits a gathering for a spiritual reason.

Spiritual service. Spiritual meeting. Spiritual gathering.

Fellowship and worship is more of a christian associated term, I do like spiritual service, that is more neutral.
