How dangerous is this??

My son swallows his toothpaste and about a half teaspoon of fluoridated mouthwash every night.  I know fluoride is dangerous, but I was wanting to know if this small amount is dangerous.

its about a pea sized amount of toothpaste.

I would ask your dentist, that would be your best bet for the most accurate answer.

It can discolor their teeth over time.

I'm not sure, but you should tell him it isn't good for him and he needs to make sure he spits as much out as possible.

I'd stay on top of it, insisting he spit. Or get him that toddler toothpaste that is safe to swallow.

Not a big deal. My dd ate half a tube when she was 3- poison control said it would take something like 5 whole tubes to cause problems.

I always swallowed toothpaste as a kid.

Perhaps you should brush for him until he learns proper brushing habits.
