Ds2 got a chunk of meat taken from his leg last night. We wrapped it in gauze and an ace bandage last night and elevated it. Checked the wound this afternoon and it instantly pooled with blood again. Is this er worthy or can it wait til an appointment tomorrow?

It not bleeding when the pressure wrap is on it.

That's sort of tough. They aren't going to rush him back in immediately or anything but at the same time I would feel awful making the kid wait until the next day or two days to be seen by doc

Even if it doesn't need stitches, take him.

Yes that is ER worthy, you don't need him getting any type of infections...

What happened if you mind me asking?

That needs stitches and because of where it is, it should probably be immobilized as well, or he'll tear the stitches every time he bends his knee.

Needs stitches. If it's been this long and still bleeding like that, it needs to be closed up. Notreally an emergency but if you don't have urgent care it's your next option.

If he did it last night they won't stitch it. Night give him antibiotics and send him on his way. I would just make a reg dr appointment.
