My new boyfriend is scared of kids

My new boyfriend is a professional football player and is a rather large man so imagine my surprise when he told me he was seeing a therapist for me and my kids because he has a fear of kids. He literally gets freaked out and starts sweating when he sees them. He says its a real disease but that he cares for me a lot and maybe sees a future with me but he knows that also means my two daughters as well. Should I run from this. I really like him a lot but he is scared of kids. That's always my luck find someone I really like and he is messed up in someway.

Give him a chance, he is seeking help. He shouldn't be around your kids for a while anyway.

Maybe he's afraid of hurting them because he's a bigger guy? There has to be more to the story.

Ask him what exactly he's afraid of.

That's a little odd. Idk maybe find out what the real deal is. He's afraid of kids in what way exactly?

Wow. That one might be a deal breaker. Sorry.

Children shouldn't be exposed to new boyfriends anyway. Give him a chance to get some help, but I would consider it a red flag to keep in mind.

I'd run far and fast.

I'd be suspicious of pedophilic tendancies. Honestly

Well, maybe it could work.. Just don't ever choose him over the children.
