My dd likes to spend more time with adults than teens.

My 17 year old dd prefers to hang out with her 20-25 year old friends better than peers her age. I would like her to just be friends with people her age. She mostly says she likes her older friends better because they are more goal orientated. they cause less drama and are reliable people. Do you think this is strange?

Not at all... I was the same way. But, you should do as my parents did and meet these people. Know them. Know that what she says is true.
My parents house was always open door.
And remember, you become your influences.

Sounds like she has good reasons for her choice.

I was the exact same way. At 16/17 most of the kids my age just acted like idiots and did stupid stuff. I naturally gravitated to more mature people and they were usually older than me. My parents were fine with that.

I dont think it is strange for her to want to hang out with older people. I think it would be strange for a 25 year old to want to hang out with her.

When I was 23 one of my closest friends was 16. She was very mature for her age and we are still friends to this day.

I was the same way at that age. Still to this day I find a lot of people my age immature.

I was the same way at that age.  It wasn't until college that I had close friends my age.
