Shaming may cause a physical change but will cause more damage in the long run mentally.

I didn't get past the first article. A doctor telling a person they need to lose weight in a constructive way is not "fat shaming".

I grew up with my mom fat shaming herself and I ended up having a fear of being overweight. It's a dreadful way to live, honestly. I cried for hours on end after I saw myself at my heaviest and then I ended up not eating for a week. I wish I didn't have that reaction. I wish I wasn't afraid to eat what I wanted. I don't wish this on anyone.
