I went to the ER last week because of severe vaginal pain, i made a post about it, & they disclosed right in front of my mom & daughter without hesitation that i have genital herpes. That is a major violation of HIPAA & i did not want either of them to know better yet see my reaction & be scarred forlife just like me.

Then you shouldn't have had them in the room with you.

Talking about lawsuit information on the internet is stupid. Shit is traceable.

Good luck. I think you will have quite the fight ahead of you.

At least you spelled HIPAA right.

if you didn't want them to know then you shouldn't have had them in the room. Usually the medical professionals will assume that anyone in the room is OK to hear whatever they have to say

If you didn't want them to know anything why were they in the exam room and not waiting in the waiting room?

Yeah, good luck with all that nonsense. And with your genital herpes.

Having them in the room with you is implied consent, not against HIPPA.
