No developmental delays, just "not ready." What do you think?

If shes not ready then shes not. It takes time though.

Everytime i have someone home with me. So i canbuse the bathroom by my self my daughter has to come with me for some reason. She is 21 months old and is very interested in the big kids potty. My husband and i both agreed on getting a kid potty that makes sounds and to start potty training and give her a reward for when she goes.

If its not a delay issue. Then i would wonder if the parent(s) are putting any time n it

I'd cry myself to sleep every night if I had a four year old that did not use the toilet.  I'd assume "something" was wrong.  A four year old should be toilet trained by then. SOMEthing is off...

They start prek at 4 here. They should be potty trained.

Sorry but at some point the "not being ready" excuse has got to go.

Not ready imo is a developmental delay. I think its fine, if the parent is talking to the pediatrician about when and how to get him ready, that's really all that can be done.

my Ds is 4.5 and had a medical condition that made potty training hard. With the okay of his Dr and with a specialist he is fully potty trained now. Who cares if he took longer than others?

I would find it odd but I don't worry too much about others, I would cry if mine was that late. My neighbors daughter was close to 4 or so and it was crazy but she is fine
