Yes, it's true, I've never...

Posted by   + Show Post

My brother lives in Manhattan and recently bought a new co-op. He invited us to come down and see it and then go spend the day in Central Park.  He said he thought the kids would love it, especially the castle. I told him I was excited because I have never been to Central Park. We grew up just north of the city and I've been to the city many times for concerts, broadway shows, museums, etc. but never made it to Central Park. He was truly surprised that I have made it into my 40's and lived in NY my whole life but had never been to Central Park.

What is something that people are always surprised to find out that you've never done?

Heyyyy Westchester!

Strangely enough I was thinking about that the other day. Not sure of why. I grew up in Westchester and spent quite a bit of time in NYC as a teen and in my early 20's. I used to hang out in the Village and Washington Square Park.

I moved away for college and never moved back. DH and I looked into moving to Westchester or even Rockland County when our older 2 kids were still very young, but it never happened. Sometimes I miss it, but we have a good life here. And pretty much don't go to a lot of our tourist spots here too.

That's where I grew up also. Still live there, but in a different part :)

I've never left missouri, I've never been on a plane or train, I've never ate at a really fancy restaurant, I've never been to a concert, I've never been ice skating (don't want to either) .. Theres a lot of things I haven't done, but I'm still young.

Do you plan to go one of these days?

Quoting Peace.Love.Pink:

I've walked past it. I gave birth at Mt. Sinai, Manhattan.
