Shut up.
Just looking for another angle to discipline.

Time out and then talk to him about why we don't say that and how it makes you feel.

The first time I'd let them know that's not okay to say. After that, time outs.

I would wonder where they possibly heard it from , because I don't think they came up with it solo

Time out for two minutes. Then I go in and give her a hug and explain why we don't say that.
I have a two year old and she actually said that to me the other day (shit she learns from older kids *sigh*)

I'd evaluate who he was with and what he over heard. At two, it's not the child who is the issue.

Tell them that's not a nice thing to say. Explain to them why it's not nice.

Time outs are not working

Depends. I would either tell him it's not nice or ignore it. Depending on how he said it. If you make it a big deal they will say it more. I would give him alternative words to use.

I would ignore it. If you would not pay any attention to him when he says that, he will eventually forget it (it is if no one around him talks this way).
