Clear liquid only? Fine. Vodka for my first grader.

Anyone have any idea why the new policy at my kid's school is clear liquid only at lunch?  Is this some new no child left behind crap?

yea I guess no milk. I could see a no soda policy I guess. I just was wondering why kids can't have milk or juice at lunch. Odd times we are living in.

Because colored juices stain?

I have a clear liquid only rule in my home . You may only drink colored beverages (milk, juice, etc) in the kitchen.

maybe kids are being too messy?

I hve 3 kids they have only ever brought water in reusable water bottles to school.  We are a BIG water family.  I just nver saw the need to pack anything else.

I'd guess they were tired of kids spilling bright red crap over themselves and everyone else and staining things.

They don't want kids drinking sugary drinks since they make it harder for kids to concentrate maybe?

Never heard of that. Maybe clear containers but not liquid.

So, does your school not serve milk? I only send DD with water, but to control what other parents want to send is dumb. Teach, don't worry about if Johnny has juice or water.
