If depression cannot be treated, overcome, or even cured then why....

Do we continue to believe that it can be treated, over come, or even cured? Why bother with medications, or therapy, or anything for that matter?

People feel like trying even though it's impossible makes a difference.. Typically a positive difference. Your other option is to submit to the darkness and kill yourself.

Sometimes it can be 'Overcome/treated/cured' But not always.

Its a major struggle and depending how bad the depression was/is  will depend on how much work and such it will take to treat/cure whatever.

thats like saying a person that is paralyzed will try to walk despite the fact that they have no feelings or ability to move their legs....

How can you really try if you have zero control and no way to control it?

Treatment does help a lot of people.

I think Robin Williams was bipolar. Much harder to treat IMO.

It can be overcome, or at least managed. I think there is an over prescription of anti depressants without adequate oversight and counseling.

So tell me, how often do you see people in depression discussions actually talk about real solutions how to improve, overcome, nor better themselves regards to the depression?
