I send my son's lunch to school every day. I got a phone call from the school asking me to not send him with a lunch anymore because...get this...it causes a distraction for the other kids. Why? Because THEY don't get the same as him. What the fuck? No, I'm NOT going to stop sending his lunch and force him to eat nasty cafeteria food! He loves the surprises in his lunch box every day and all the little shapes and animals I make out of his food and the jokes and notes I pack. He's not taking junk food to school so they can just get over it!

That's insane. I send great lunches with my kids too. One of the teaching assistants complimented me on them. She said the teachers always look to see what my kids have and they wish I'd send their lunches too. LOL. I really feel like you should be able to feed your kids whatever you want. They're YOURS. And good for you for the time and effort you put in to make great meals for your kids!

Just say he has strict dietary needs and that he must eat food sent from home as you know what he needs.

I would message back to school and tell them unless they are paying for his food you will continue to send his lunch.

I would tell them I didn't give a fuck and that they had no legal right to tell me I can't send his lunch to school...fuck that.

Unless they plan to foot the bill for his lunches the whole year they can shove off. Even then I would still pack his own lunch.
