What exactly should a SAHM be responsible for in a day? Obviously the children, but what else?

I think it varies from woman to woman. For me, I clean the house, the kitchen and do the laundry. I prep and cook the meals. During school, I get clothes out for the next day, and make sure everything is ready in the morning.

The children. Anything else is to be discussed and decided upon by the couple.

Well there is no handbook in my house for what I should be doing but these are things I do:

Laundry but dh refers to do his own

Clean the house

Food shopping

Pay the bills

Make appointments

Run errands

Take kids to appointments

Make dinner

Help with homework but if it's math my husband will jump in and help my 9 yo. Damn, that math is something I've never seen before!

Dh and I clean up after dinner together/unload dishwasher...

She should be responsible for whatever she and her spouse/partner agree upon. I clean, cook, drive children around, and take care of the dogs.
