Does your SO have a crappy schedule that doesn't allow much room for planning and/or if plans are made they're often broken?

Yup. Everything is last minute. He was supposed to be going to Stockton today for work and on the way his boss called and said "just keep on driving to Canada".

Yes. Grrrrr. We don't really have to break plans so much as he gets work calls in the middle of things and ends up on the phone forever.

He works 2 straight weeks, then he's home for two straight weeks. So we are actually lucky sometimes. When other people make plans though it sucks. They don't always understand that we won't be able to make it to something due to his schedule.

Nope.

Dh works for the Federal Government.

It's as scheduled as one can get.

Yes he does. He works third shift, with a long week, and short week. While I work 10 hour shifts during the day. We really only get to spend time together every other weekend. :(

Well, yes and no. He has every other week off. Which is nice but when something falls on his work week we either have to miss stuff or carry on without him. This includes holidays, birthdays, etc. Last year he worked Halloween, thanksgiving, both of our kids birthdays, and Christmas. That sucked! Most of the time it's pretty nice though. We can go to the lake in the middle of the week, go on vacation, and other fun stuff.

Only when she does it to herself. Her schedule is semi flexible but she likes to cram things because she doesn't like not being busy. We are finally going on vacation, one we were supposed to take last month.

He works 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and we are in the gym coaching M, T, Th, F, from 4-8,and Saturday mornings. He also works Sunday mornings until about 1:00 p.m. We have no lives.

Ugh! I really try to refrain from complaining about him working, but sometimes it just pisses me off.

DH is 3 hours away right now, was supposed to come home Wednesay, then Thursday, then today...well, techinally yesterday, but he found out he's working through the weekend. Not the end of the world, but it's frustrating.
