For the past 2 months I have been having severe pain in my sides, mostly on my right side. In July, my doctor started me on a different prescription and since then i have had severe diarrhea, it is worse after I eat. I have also had these pains and severe gas. I have noticed that the pains usually begin after I eat. But today the pains are worse than ever. I have taken an 800 mg Ibuprofen and the pain has not eased at all.

TMI:  another thing I've noticed is sometimes after I go to the bathroom i still have the urge to go but can't.  I have also had pains near my breastbone but not as bad as my sides.  I have also been burping a lot.

Has anyone else had anyone else had this before?

I think you should see a doctor that deals with digestive issues. As for the breastbone I have a Condition where the cartilage that connects my breastbone to my ribs gets swollen and it hurts so I have to take an asprin to help bring the swelling and pain down.

No, but it sounds like it could be serious. Are you seeing a GI specialist?

I also have that due to my asthma. The pain on my sides is similar to that but worse after eating. My aunt thinks it could be my gallbladder but when I looked up symptoms of that it says it is accompanied with a fever and mines been normal.

No, it's only happened about 4 times in the last 2 months (although the diarrhea has been daily), the first time was shortly after I had an asthma attack and the doctor said it was from my lungs struggling to get air, but that was over a month ago and I haven't had issues with my asthma lately. And I contributed the diarrhea to new medicine the doctor put me on.

If the pain is worse after eating you might have some stomach or intestinal issues. My mom had diverticulitis so sge has these like divets or pockets in her intestines thst certain things stick too so if she eats certain things it causes her pain in her abdomen at least and having to go to the bathroom bad. Sometimes just the pain. Depending on what it is.

Did you have the same symptoms? Did you have a fever or vomiting? I had a friend who had her gallbladder removed and she said she doesn't thinks its my gallbladder because I'm not running a fever or vomiting. But everyone doesn't have all the same symptoms right!

My friend had the very same problems before having her gallbladder removed.
