Hiring a sitter so hubby don't have to wake up at night?!?!

My husband does not want to wake up for the midnight feedings and changes! He never did it with our ds, even when I was sick, but I was not working then. Ds didn't sleep through the night until close to a year. Now I work third shift 2-3 days a week. I don't get off till 7:30am. He wants me to to hire a sitter for the new baby for the time I am at work even though he will be in the next room sleeping so he don't have to wake. He said he don't care if the sitter sleeps as long as they wake up to care for the baby when needed. Is this something you would do/ agree to? How much would you pay a sitter that is only doing any "real" work approx. every 2-3 hours?

I wouldn't. I'd tell my husband to get off his lazy ass and care for the child he helped make.

But you did chose to reproduce with him after the first one knowing he was a loser so you're not so smart either.

Fuck that noise. Its called being a parent he can do it or get a second job so you stay home and get up with the baby.

The only thing I will say to this is you will probably have to pay more because it's overnight

I wouldn't. But then again, my husband is an active parent and cares for his children around the clock.

nO I would not hire a babysitter, I would tell him its his child too and he will get up and do whats needed.

Thankfully dh was never like that with our children, he even did the 1 am feedings , so I didnt have to get up.
