Take time off of work to help you? I'm due with a little girl in October and my dh plans on taking the first week or 2 off from work to help me and also bond with the baby. I honestly never thought about him doing that until he told me was and of course I'm very happy he will be here to help since we also have an almost 4 yo. So did your dh take any time off of work to help with a new baby?

No.  With our 1st, his mom came and stayed for a week and my mom came over frequently. With our 2nd, no one stayed with us (my choice) but his mom and my mom came over frequently withing the first couple of weeks.

No. I had dd at 6:20am he went to work that evening. He was told he could take a week but he's never missed a day of work. I didn't expect him to though.

Yes, he did.

But, lots of husbands can't, or don't have that luxury.

I was very lucky that his job is so accomodating to parents.

Mine did with both of our girls, which worked out great, because I had csections with both of them.
