am bored Atm.

So I was talking to my neighbor about how to apply for free/ reduce lunch because I new the area. She asked if I was on welfare. I said no. She said oh I don't know my kids get it free because we get fs.

Then she was telling me that with her middle school son he get free but she add $30 a month on his lunch account so he can get snacks, cakes, ice cream slushies etc.

I am not sure what my kids got approved for but not free.

Let me add I don't have an issue with what she does but i was wondering what cafemom would think about getting free lunch but paying for snacks for your children at school?

My kids get .50 a week. Mostly because I can't monitor otherwise. Any other snacks that want they bring from home. But if she can afford 30 a month they don't need the free lunch.

I don't have an issue with it.

But then, I am not one of the people on here who thinks that people who get assistance don't deserve a treat ever.

My oldest is in high school he gets free lunch, but I do give him $5 a week...

I should add I also have two in elementary school they also get free lunch, but I don't give them any money because their school doesn't sell snacks or extras just regular lunch...

It's bullshit, but the PA defenders will say her kids deserve the treats that she cannot afford.

Just more of why this country is headed on the fast track to destruction.

I don't see the issue besides promoting unhealthy eating habits. $30 a week seems like a lot. Income guidelines are different different places and I think they are higher to receive free/reduced lunch than to receive fs.

I am not sure about free I know you income can be $800 a week for reduced lunch. If you get pa you automatically get free.

Haha haha!

Those damn fs getting kids will be the death of us all!

Cake should be outlawed except for the wealthy.

We should riot.
