everyday I take a 2-3 hour nap with my 2 year old. everyday I wake up from my nap all confused. I sit up in bed for a minute trying to figure out where I am. what time it is. the day of week. where my husband is. I don't wake up like this in the morning. only afternoon naps. why is that?

I have no idea. I wake up from my naps even more tired than before I took a nap.

I think because you hit REM sleep in that amount of time. You likely dream and then when you wake your brain is confused, as you say, as to when you went to sleep. If that makes sense.
