My dd need braces bad. Last year she had full Medicaid and Medicaid wouldn't cover them. Now she has United health care. Does anyone know if they cover braces?

Generally only seperate dental policies will cover braces. Medicaid will actually cover them-but not unless there is a reaosn other than cosmetic.

We have United Health Care- it is medical insurance not dental insurance. We have a different company for that.

They have a website and you have a number on your card-call and they will tell you what your exact coverage is according to your plan :)

I think most insurance including Medicaid will cover braces, but only if its medically necessary

Yep. No co pays.

We also have a united health care visa card so when we go to the pharmacy we use that to pay for the prescriptions. They take like $100 out of his paycheck a month and put it on the card so you don't have to worry about how to pay for them.

Like I said he has awesome benefits!
