How do you teach your children about bully's and what age do you?

Around 6 we started teaching my son. We love shinedown and used the song "bully". He was already familiar with the song so all we had to do was discuss what a bully was.

Taught her to be nice and remember her manners consistently before she turned two. Over the years, it has just developed with each situation she has been in when I would intervene or allow her to use the skills to self-problem solve. She is now five and I have been using the terms bully, rude, hurtful and ill-judgment for a good year now.

I don't have any concise answers here.  I just kept telling my kids to walk away from a bully or take up for the person that's being bullied.  That all works in a perfect world but my kids are 6 & 7 and we have drilled it into them.  *I was bullied BAD as a kid into HS*.  What works for some may not work for others.  I get it.
