I just want one day of freedom

...from people wanting things from me. At work all day, I hear "I want....", "I need...", "Do ... for me". Then I have 2 small kids, so it doesn't get any better when I get home. I want one day where no one asks me for anything or expects anything from me. I'd love to just scream "Leave me alone!" right now or "Your arms and legs work just fine".

That's my vent.

1 mom liked this

So on your day off go out and do something just for yourself and leave everyone behind.

You can't just want it. You must take it.

Plan it and do it.

Make it a regular thing, even if regular is bimonthly.

Ugh, I know how you feel mama. I'm a sahm and my son is all over me all day long. Then dh gets home and ds STILL wants to climb on me. Plus dinner and cleanup, and of course dh wants affection. I love them both to the moon and back, but sometimes I just want a few hours where no one is touching me.

Oh yes. I get up before everyone just so I can sip coffee in absolute silence!

So say no. What, are they going to fire you over one incident of, "Sorry, can't do that today?"

I love my life, I am blessed beyond belief, but I feel the exact same way right now.  All of the little details that are taking over my life have me stressed beyond belief.  :(

It's really important to take time for yourself, especially when your kids are small. Work out a deal with DH when he will take the kids and give you some alone time. And then you need to do the same for him, because it does go both ways! Good luck Mama!
