I am a mother of 5. I would love to adopt a 6child. Not an infant but a child. They will not allow me to adopt because of having 5 children. I guess the only way they allow you to adopt with a larger family is if they are adopted siblings.
They wonder why so many are caught up in the system smh!! Anyone live in the state of Ohio and hear of this? Is there any way around this? We have a great income and not many bills once so ever. I am even willing to adopt a child with speical needs.

That's terrible! I never knew it was like that. Can you try private adoption?

Your situation makes absolutely no sense to me what so ever. We adopted our daughter who is our 6th child.

My guess would be that it has to do with the size of your house.

i grew up with a family of adopted children. a big family. they are all grown now, and some of the children now have large families(bleanded, some adopted, some not). it may have to do with being a larger family, and that your income level is not high enough by their standards to support an additional child.
