what are you referencing specifically? Someone who is mentally ill isn't in their right of mind and someone who is terminally ill should have the right.

Did ya ever think think that maybe these feelings started AFTER they had kids? Someone who is severly depressed and suicidal doesnt see suicide the same as someone who is not suicidal. You cant just snap your fingers and get over it.

92+ per cent of suicidal behavior is due to untreated depression(a medical disease, not 'the blues' over a shopping issue or a pay cut).

People who are suicidal need medical treatment and hospitalization.  They react with extreme sadness to events others shrug off.   That's a sign of the disease, depression.   No, their comments are not always pretty.   They MAY sound selfish or self centered.   They may be upset about things others would not be upset about.   There are other symptoms - changes in sleep patterns, eating, activity, trouble at work or school, impulsive risky behavior, etc.

Rarely, a person with depression could be so severely ill that they become psychotic, then their comments probably will not make any sense to anyone who isn't trained to recognize and treat psychosis.  Psychosis means unable to tell what's real.   In that case they may claim some very odd things that other people recognize as not being possible.

These people need help, medical help, not ignorant people like you bashing them.

.... Yup, because "tough it out, pansy-ass" is a scientifically proven cure for depression. Sounds legit bro.

I think it's a selfish thing to even think of leaving a child motherless/fatherless so yes they should tough it out
