What should I get my daughter?

And before people complain it is going to only be used for long car rides. I need to make 2 5 hour trips a week with the kids with me.

I decided to get the 2ds. She has Lazy eye so won't be able to use the 3d feature and with no hinges is less likely to break.

I would go with the 3DS, it's more portable and purse/pocket friendly. If the 3D is a concern, it can be disabled via parental controls. There are also more color choices.

3DS.  It folds closed so the screens are protected, and the 3D can be turned off.

I would go with the 3DS... a 3DS will play 2DS games, but a 2DS will NOT play the 3DS games...

BUT... I would go for a Kindle Fire or something like that, where you can play games but also listen to music, read books, watch TV, and a lot of other stuff...

3ds- more game choices as can play 2d games also. The 3d function is adjustable from none to full and in between.
