Ds plays with no one at school

He's in 3rd grade and just confessed to me that he has no one to play with during recess. His normal friends go off with this new kid and from his words, "they hurt each others private parts".

Another kid is really athletic so he's always doing something with that. Ds tries but he's always had hand/eye coordination issues. Lol

The other kids are playing with this one girl who ds swears hates him. Anytime he'll ask to join, she'll tell him no even if others say yes.

Idk what to tell him except keep trying. All the kids that come here to hang out are in a grade above him so their recess times are different.

Aww poor baby. That breaks my heart I hate when kids are mean like that and leave others out. I hope he finds a friend.

I know. He said I'm all alone, like I'm stuck in the desert, all recess long

I wish there was something i could do. He seemed so bummed out about it. I wanna fix it but I can't show up everyday just to play with him. Lol i totally would, if he wouldn't get made fun of for it.

Yea, i asked about that. They'll stand on these high beams, the kid will come over and yank a leg, making them fall so the beam lands right between their legs. Or they'll just jump down and do it to themselves.

I asked where the aides were during all this and he said they go to different areas so they can't see

I would want to do the same thing. Just tell him to keep his head up.

1 mom liked this
Ok, that's less disturbing than I thought. Not great, but yeah...

I'd just encourage him to be himself and confident in himself.
