So oldest had no school today because it was election day, and one of the voting spots was at her school. This year was the first year they had no school, The precious years they just kept the kids separated from the voting area.

So now they have school next Tuesday on veterans day.

My husband and my mom both say keep her home on school, if any holidays they should be taking it shouldn't be this one. It should he Columbus or Martin Luther.

So we've been debating keeping her home

I'd send her to school. Is she missing any celebrations at home if she goes to school?

Why make her miss school? Is there going to be a big family celebration?

Nope. That's what I said.

She isn't missing anything. And she is not sick.

My mom said, she is missing a day spent with me.

Uh no you get her on weekends for church

Unless you had plans to actually celebrate a veteran, she should go to school.
They weren't home as a holiday today, but because of safety factors of strangers in the schools.
