Typically, one ounce will make 10-15 6-ounce cups of tea, depending on how strong you like it.

I am lazy and use tea bags, so here's a bump.

I use tea bags from the grocery store and follow the directions on the box. I like mine hot and cold. If I drink it hot its use honey, lemon and sugar but is one serving. Cold I add 1 to 2 cups of sugar per gallon then put it in the fridge.

I get my tea from Teavana, it's amazing. Start there, they have many options for making the tea, and all sorts of different kinds of tea also.

toss your tea in the bottom, pour your hot water on top, wait 3-5 mins, press the plunger down.... and you have the best tasting tea that ever hit your lips.

I like Southern Sweet tea..... not the kind of tea you're asking about ;)
