I like trying new things, it looked good, so I thought I'd give it a try.

It was delicious for the most part.

The only thing was, boiled potatoes.

Does anyone really enjoy them?  I found them so bland and just... ugh.

There was a shocking amount of butter in the food as it was lol

I made a sour cream sauce that was for the meat and bland nasty potatoes.  It was really good, but I'm going to make rice with it next time.

You must not be making them right lol

Idk about Swedish food, but boiled potatoes are a staple food in New Orleans and they are DELICIOUS and no where even remotely near bland. They are super super rich and flavorful. Now I'm craving it. Thanks lol

Maybe you add something to it, but the recipe said just boil them in plain water.  It was nasty.

How do you make them?

I'm supposedly part Swedish. But I have no idea what the food is like! Care to elaborate?

Strangely enough, I do like boiled potatoes :)

I made köttbullar (fried meatballs made with pork, beef, nutmeg and allspice), sour cream sauce, pickled beets, lindon berry sauce and boiled potatoes.

It all depends on how you season them. What did you make? We had gavlax, boiled potatoes, turnips, and pitepalt a couple of weeks ago.

We make it with crab boil in the water as well as garlic and other things like that. Sooooo good!

I can imagine they would be pretty gross if it was just plain. Blech.
