My son has a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. It's just a check up and I think some shots.

This weekend my mom was telling me about a medication that they have starting using for a condition that I have. Would it be in bad taste to ask her about it at my son's appointment.

If it matters, shes a young doctor and very sweet and laid back.

The right thing would be to tell the appointment person that you may have some extra questions for the doctor so that they adjust the schedule for the extra time you're going to take.  This helps keep the office on track and people after you aren't left waiting.

I don't see anything wrong with asking.
