I can't stop thinking about becoming a foster parent..

For the last few years I have
always had strong desires about becoming a foster mom. Especially this last 1.5 it has been on my mind constantly, as though I'm meant to. Even when I try to push it out of my mind it comes back and clouds my mind.

I'm terrified however. I don't know anyone personally who has/is one. Our lives are pretty quiet, and adding the chaos of being in the system is frightening and unknown.

We have two boys (3 and 10 months) I do worry if they are too young, but there are so many children that need a safe home to stay that I feel obligated to do something to help.

What would you do..

If you want to do it, wait till your kids are a little older and can talk. Some Foster kids have problems and you wouldn't want them to do something to your kids that your kids couldn't tell you about.

I would wait till the kids are school age. That way they are old enough to understand if you need to spend more time with the foster kid.
