Okay so I have been sick with a nasty cough that takes my breath away...I wheeze to get air back in. Well today I coughed up a blood "clot" about the size of a penny...now I had a bleed nose at the same time...could it have just come from my nose (because that is what it felt like)

Now YES I am heading to the clinic as soon as my son comes home (he has a sore throat)

YES I will put on a mask when I get there....

Anyone else have this "bug"

Sore throat

Achy body

Low fever (101ish)

Coughing so hard and long you cant breath?

stuffy AND runny nose (yes both)

Web MD said whooping cough...I was vacinated against that...

They also said Pneumonia or Bronchitis

Entervirus is also going around here....

Back to the main thing if I "felt" the blod clot leave my nose to my throat its not TB...

And YES I know its not...just need some reasurrance.

UPDATE....Sorry its been so long. Well doctor wasnt sure what it was but it was clearly bad so he gave me some super strong antibiotics...I still feel really tired and still have a fever. (3 weeks) but the cough is less...

It's most likely from your nose

Sounds like pneumonia. Get to the doctor fast!

No, that's a misconception. Kids are just more severely affected by it. Adults get it too, just usually not as bad. There are always exceptions, though.

You can cough up blood if your throat is raw or you're coughing a lot. But it could also be drainage from your nose.

Unpleasant and scary I'll bet! But most likely a side effect of a stuffy bloody nose

It is not a "kids only" virus. However when kids get it they seem to get the evil end of the stick. Go get seen. Hope you feel better soon.

I am not a doctor but it does sound like whopping cough and you do need boosters.  I am glad you are going to someone who can give you real answers.  GL.
