Would you give a stranger a ride if they asked?

I did for the first time today.  He asked for one because it started to rain.  He was very obviously an older man, and seemed like he was having a bit of breathing difficulty.  I learned that he was 91-years-old, and was on his way to a restaurant about 2 miles away.  He walked daily.

It really gave me some prespective.  All these able-bodied adults honking for the closest parking spaces, acting like it kills them to walk the extra two minutes into the stores, and this almost 100-year-old man is walking two miles just to get out!  I love walking and running.  Seeing him gave me some hope that I'll be able to do it when I am 90, too.

On to the original question, would you give a stranger a ride if it seemed like they really needed it?  I've never agreed to before.

I've been tempted but DH always tells me not to, it's not safe.

No, I wouldn't. It's just not smart/safe.

I normally never would, never have, and probably won't again.  I'm not sure why I decided to this time.

I always want to offer. But, unfortunately fear stops me :/  It's hard to trust people these days.

I've done it before and I'm not opposed. I don't while pregnant though and never with kids in the car.

No. I'd like to say yes, but I refuse to jeopardize my safety. You never know who you are giving a ride to.

There has been a couple times when I would have if I had had the room.
