What made her think I worked there??

Went into WalMart to get some peanut butter.  I was wearing black pants, black boots, and a black and gray striped sweater.  I had my dd with me.  This lady comes up and asked if I work there and where could she find rice milk.

Um.  No.  I don't work here and I don't know where rice milk is.  Sorry.

I had that happend when I went to Target. It was my fault for wearing a red vest. I was asked 6 times where things were. Eventually I just took off my vest. >.<

People ask me ALL THE TIME where stuff is in stores.

Dh says its bc I make eye contact and say hello when I'm walking by. It makes them think I'm trying to give them a good experience.

He's partially correct. I just snapped out of customer service mode. Lol.

It happens.  Once I was in a grocery store wearing jeans and a hoodie with my daughter in the cart and an woman assumed I worked there and asked where lemon juice was.  I had no idea but as she was elderly and alone I wandered around with her until we found it.  I'm not sure why she assumed I worked there though since I wasn't dressed even close to how employees were.

Here is a great generic reply;

"I don't know, I can't remember anything that happened before the accident..."

then you walk away looking lost! ;)

My SO works for Coke. He stocks the shelves of our local Walmart and publix. People are constantly asking him where random non coke related products are. Then they get mad when he doesn't know. Or they complain about the prices. Like he sets them
