Do you ask your kids to do stuff for you?

Like stuff you could do on your own?

I'm working on a few extra credit assignments so I'm upstairs using my iPad. My husband brought me some ice cream and then went out to go play poker.

I finished my ice cream and sat the bowl next to me on the night stand, to take down when I got up next.

Ds came up to ask something and when he was leaving my room I asked him to rinse the bowl and leave it in the sink.

He was like "But it's your bowl."

Well, yeah. Lol. But he was going into the kitchen anyway.

I ask DS to "fill me up!" To top off my glass of water that I always have handy.

This time last year, I couldn't walk at all though. I got into the habit of asking him for refills.

Yeah, all the time. Usually she is happy to help. She goes and gets me stuff all the time; like my water bottle, phone or the remote.

Yup, lol. And when I get the 'but it's yours....' I just look at them like 'uh, seriously?' and they get it, lol. They're 14 and 8 though.
