Ok we were kids we were both 18 now two years later I've grown into a serious parent. I'm going back to school I have a full time job (crappy but a job) I'm saving for a house I'm making ends meet but he hasn't grown. Life for him is still video games, weed (not saying it makes you a bad parent but when all you want is to smoke it's not a plus) and friends. He's not on dad mode he's more a baby sitter for my 40 working hours then disappears with friends when I get home. He sleeps till noon and wants to take off to another state for Xmas. He has no job no future and is just an over grown child. All guys in HS were immature but most grew out of it I just got the egg that didnt hatch. I live in CT but I can't find much on the Internet about the process how do I go about separating from him and getting full coustody?
Let me add that we are not married but he is on the birth certificate.

You need to talk to a lawyer.

I'm not sure, but it's not ok for him to be smoking himself silly when he has no job, and I'm a huge MJ advocate.

Are you married? Is he on the birth certificate?

My first question is are you married if not either tell him to leave or get out of the place you are in and take the kids then fill for custody of the children

You leave him and file for cs. Its not that hard. Unless he gives up his parental rights, you'll probably never be completely free of him. It doesn't work that way.
