Why/how do you think having only children is bad/selfish?

I personally don't think it's bad or selfish.

I'm an only and my mom was an only. There's nothing bad about being an only. I don't understand the hate. If someone wants more then have more, if not, then don't.

We only have one and we don't want anymore.

I don't think so. It's better than being irresponsible and having kids you can't afford and mooching off the government.

I can only afford one, therefore I refuse to have more.

When I babysit, after about 3 hours, my son is asking if they can please go home, lol

Quoting MsJoa: I personally don't think it's bad or selfish.

I don't.

I think it is a weird thing to try to judge people for.

I don't necessarily. It's not a decision I would have made.

We chose to have one child because my first child is deaf. We knew that any other children we had would have normal hearing. We didn't want he to feel excluded by the communication in our home. We also didn't want to drag another child around for her therapies and moving for her schools.

my son has the best of both worlds..hes my only child and he gets his siblings from dad..so..hes spoiled by me and gets to know the 'joy' of being a brother.he actually loves his siblings..and hes the oldest so hes the leader..
