My husband and I have an odd Xmas tradition...

We wait to buy gifts for each other till the weekend after the holiday. We get my inlaws to sit overnight, have dinner together and buy each other gifts during great after Christmas sales.
Our dd is still young, and I LOVE doing it this way. We open a small gift each with her, but she is always so overwhelmed she barely notices half her gifts. So, we started a tradition for just the two of us- at least for now.
Any unusual Xmas traditions in your family?

We hide the "pickle gift" it's always a Santa hat, and whoever finds it gets to hand out the presents.

We don't buy gifts instead we wait till boxing day and buy something we want (for ourselves) lol

Sounds nice!

It's been working, we can get any returns done without it being such a chore, and with margarita breaks in between!
