I'm losing my mucus plug

I had never really thought about what happens after a csection. I wasn't expecting it. I went to tell my husband that globs of icky mucus stuff were coming out of me. He was worried I had an infection. Then, it just dawned on me what it was.

I'd never had a csection before. I've never had a baby without going into labor before. It seems everything is a constant reminder that things aren't normal. :(

I'm so sorry. That's gotta feel like being kicked while you are down.

I didn't experience that after mine, but I had my c-section after laboring and fully dilating. Keep an eye on the color of the discharge. If it's green or develops an odor, or if you get a fever, get seen asap. I'm so sorry that your body has to physically heal so much in addition to all of the emotional healing you're going to have to go through. You remain in our thoughts and prayers.
