Why would you do that?!!

Do you save your child's teeth when they fall out? My family is once again in the middle of a debate so i'm enlisting the advice of strangers. :) I found a bunch of mine and my siblings teeth when I was a teenager in my mom's room. I thought it was weird and gross. I was going to throw my son's teeth away (he just lost the bottom two the other day) and my dad told me that was mean and cruel. ??? He says they are sentimental. I find nothing sentimental about teeth. My uncles agree with him. My mom is on my side. (turns out the teeth I found in her room were still there because my dad flipped out on her too when she tried to throw ours away. So to avoid a fight she put them in the dresser and forgot about them. For the record, they have been divorced for decades now.)

What do you think? Save them or no? Any particular reasons if you do?

I keep them around for a few days and then toss it.

I did. Then I found the and realized that it was gross and I didn't really want them for anything, so I tossed them.

I have no intention of keeping them once my oldest starts losing teeth.

I think it's gross.

I'm going to rot the next tooth I come across out in a cup of coke though, to show the kids why I'm such a jerk about soda. Meaning the next time someone loses a tooth... I don't generally just come across teeth... lol.

I had no intention on keeping them either. The thought had never crossed my mind.

We want to keep one tooth, the first he ( and any future children) loses. We'd put them in a shadow box and dress it up kinda cute.
