Am I being ridiculous?

Our puppy chewed a hole in our couch this summer and now that he's mostly out of the puppy stage, it's time for a new one. Since we have 3 dogs, 2 cats and 5 kids with 2 of the kids younger than 10, we decided used would be a better option.

I sent my husband and 17 year old son to look at one with the instructions NOT to buy it if it smelled, was stained or had holes.

They bought it, it's dirty and the corner has issues. I'm annoyed, almost angry. I'm also pms'ing and I need some outside rationale....

I can't fix the corner. The cushion covers are removable and washable but I have laundry going right now.

*eta, I don't care if you would or wouldn't buy a used couch or whatever couch you would buy is made of. Just if I am over reacting to the dirt and less than perfect corner.

I would be pissed, but then again I would not have sent them.

This is why we don't have that many creatures in our home.

I would never buy used. I would buy leather with a warranty. Mine is covered no matter how the leather gets ripped. The company will repair or replace. I would have gone to see any furniture myself.

Depending onhow much it was, it doesn't look to bad Especially if the covers are washable.

Why? Oh God! What made them think this was okay. I mean really.

Put it in the yard and have a yard sale.. why ask anyone what you should do, make up your own mind for once...

If it is washable I think it looks fairly decent.

Neither do we. I can't stand my smell it leaves in your home. Plus I'm allergic to the dog dander. I like looking at pets, just from a distance.
