Husband is mad... Choose a side!

I keep a cookie sheet in my oven. I always have. Mom did. Grandma did. Her mom.

It's convenient because you use it for *most* oven tasks. So it lives there.

After 6 years of living together DH told me to stop keeping it in there because he hates taking it out every time he cooks. (He refuses to use the microwave so this is how he makes his snacks, corn dogs and pizzas etc. Yes he uses the same cookie sheet for his corn dog.)

I stopped for about a day, then realized I don't appreciate being TOLD to change something. AND I *like* my way of doing it.

So he's just now going to make himself a frozen pizza and got all mad and started slamming things. Then he says under his breath, "I TOLD her I don't want things in the oven any more!"

I said, "I am not trying to come off the wrong way but I *like* it that way and this IS my home too. Can't you bend on this one thing?"

He said "fine I'll just TAKE IT OUT EVERY TIME!" And stormed out of the room.

We do everything his way. The colors of the walls, carpet, where we put the TV, which cabinet has cups, the way I fold clothes. Etc. He does absolutely no chores doesn't contribute to making meals etc. But even if my way is better for me, we do it his.

So who is right here?!

Is it nonsense to keep it in there? Or is it nonsense to change a "rule" 6 years in?

I would say who ever spends the most time using the oven gets to choose.

I think it's really weird to keep a cookie sheet in the oven. Even if you use it most of the time that you use the oven, you still have to take it out to put the food on it. And you have to remember to take it out before preheating the oven.

You both sound dramatic.

A cookie sheet doesn't need to "live" in the oven.

Temper tantrums are not okay when one is grown.

How often does he use the oven?

I think it's weird to keep a cookie sheet in the oven and honestly, it would annoy me too.
