Today at work my coworkers bil showed up. After his visit his car wouldnt start. He asked if he can use my car to jump his. Both of our cars are 10yrs old. I also heard that it was bad for your car to do thatt. So when he asked i said no. he said to my coworker what is she too good to help out. Was that bitchy of me?

Where did you hear that "it wasn't good for your car to do that'?

I would of helped out. DF works on cars and nothing has ever happened to any car that he has jumped and they are all older, 10+ years.

Yes it was.  It has nothing to do with the age of your car and everything to do with your car battery.  :/

Yeah, that was rude not to help. It really doesn't matter how old your car is, as long as the battery is good.

As long as your battery is good & you don't jump start someone's car everyday you can be nice and help. I thought something like that was common courtesy.

Could you not take the 30 seconds to Google the answer to your "bad for my car" mystery before refusing to help?
