I bought a bunch of cake mix, cookie mix, icing etc thinking I would become Betty Crocker or something for the christmas holiday. Anyway I made nothing and now have like thirty dollars worth of this stuff I will NEVER use in my kitchen. Can I return it? None of it is even close to expiring.

You can try with a receipt but idk if they will take it unless you say you sent your dh to the store to get cake mix and he came back with the wrong ones? Or donate to a food bank.

I would donate it to a food pantry instead.

Usually they will with a receipt, if it's not opened.

I don't know. That's sometning DH would try but I would never try that. I think a lot of places would but I would just toss it but obviously the better less lazy thing to do is donate it...I'm just saying what I personally do with food about to expire
