If you walk around with loaded lethal weapon and a toddler and take no precautions to keep the toddler away from the weapon I have no symathy you are hurt.

None.

I'm glad the toddler was ok.

I get some people like guns.  I don't get why, but that's their choice, not mine.  But in the very LEAST a person should follow basic safety concepts.

Anyone could have been shot.  At least it was the moron who created the dangerous situation and not someone innocently walking by, or a child.

Im not sure who will disagree with you. I know I agree. You don't leave loaded guns in the reach of children.

It isn't rocket science.

That poor, precious child. I admit I don't feel grief for the mother, but to think about this poor child understanding what they did someday just breaks my heart.

There has to be a poor where enough people get shot accidentally and the government takes a stand.

This.

Plus....why the hell wasn't the safety on?  Unless you're teaching your 2 year old how to shut off the safety and shoot the weapon, I'm assuming that their first instinct isn't to shut off the safety.  Hell, I'm a nearly 30 year old adult and if I pick up a weapon I'm not familiar with, it still takes me a second to find the safety.

I have no sympathy for her.
