Apparentely I signed a form to get my tubes tied after giving birth to my 4th child recently.  My husband and OB witnessed it.  I recently fell from a small step ladder while changing a light bulb.  My daughter was fine, but I tore my rotater cuff.  I was prescribed Vidodin for the pain and was told it was safe to take while pregnant. I have a very low tolerance to medicine, but was in so much pain I let my dh talk me into taking 2 Vicodin.  I don't even remember this appointment in which I signed the paper!

What should I do?  It done; I can't unring the bell you know?

You had your tubes tied and you don't remember consenting? Wow.

Eta- if you haven't had it done yet, you're allowed to change your mind.

You can say you changed your mind. At my appointment to get it done they asked if I was absolutely sure and I could've backed out then and there.

If you were under the influence of narcotics, the doctor should not have allowed you to sign any forms. I'd be severely pissed at my husband for allowing such a thing knowing I wasn't in my right mind. Like, he wouldn't be my husband anymore.

You already had them
Done? If not just say you changed your mind. It's not that serious.

It's a piece of paper. Rip it up.

I have.  My OB didn't feel the need to mention it again because she didn't know I was "drugged" when I consented.  I only know now because she saw me the morning after I gave birth and said my tubal went well.

Quoting nancym3: You haven't had them tied yet? Yeah, you don't have to.

Wait... when did you sign this form? While you were high on vicodin? Did you have your tubes tied? If you did already have one. Did no one mention it to you before delivery that your were going to get a tubal?
