Her body her choice but not his?

My husband just went in for consult to get a vasectomy. They told him he couldn't get one without my ok first. really? How backwards is that? If I wanted to get my tubes tied I don't need his ok. Why? Why can't it be his choice and his choice alone?

If you don't have the golden uterus you don't get a say or the only say.

It varies in different places. My husband did not need my consent for his vasectomy.

That is an odd double standard. What if he wasn't married? Would he be able to get it done??

In some places men do have a say in tubal ligations.

my husband's doctor told him he needed to hear me say I was ok with him getting snipped and the day of his procedure his doctor never requested to talk to me. (lol)

Because women think they should have all of the rights, privileges, blah blah blah as an oppressed class. They just don't think that should apply to anyone but them.
